Abstract

At a college level, the freshman student in the schools health department, have difficulty understanding the scientific textbooks because they represent relatively new material and thus the student has difficulty summarizing a text and restructuring their knowledge. It is very common that their learning techniques traditionally haven been memorization, which limits the application of knowledge in solving problems in the future. In this sense, to gain a significant graduate-level learning in Anatomy and Physiology, it is indispensable for the student to understand these learning techniques of scientific text books that require a methodology to shape and develop the Reading Comprehension Capability (RCC). Thus, it is necessary to highlight the methodology that must be implemented based on shaping and developing RCC in order to use knowledge in a significant way during the professional development. This paper purpose is to teach understanding of the anatomy and physiologic textbooks that allow students in nursing, medicine, physical therapy and odontology to obtain their college degree.
