Introduction: Currently, the lack of an efficient system for managing dental clinical records represents a significant challenge for professionals in the sector. Organizing patient information, tracking treatments, and constantly updating medical data are often manual tasks that increase the risk of errors and complicate teamwork, while also adding workload to students and interfering with their clinical training. To address this problem, the Universidad de la Sierra Sur (UNSIS) developed custom software enabling the digital transition of dental clinical records to optimize patient management. Development followed the Scrum agile methodology, enabling an iterative and collaborative process that rapidly adapted to requirements. The system uses Spring Boot for the backend and Angular for the frontend, deployed under a Docker container architecture. The system design considered the applicable Mexican regulatory framework, including NOM-004-SSA3-2012 on Clinical Records and the principles of the Federal Law on Protection of Personal Data Held by Private Parties (LFPDPPP), ensuring record confidentiality and traceability. System testing was conducted using synthetic data, without involving real patient data, safeguarding privacy throughout the progressive implementation phase. The main objective is to optimize clinical record management through an intuitive, adaptable interface, facilitating secure and efficient access to information, improving healthcare professionals’ experience, and supporting student learning.
