Abstract

This essay presents actionable strategies for faculty at Cuba’s Eastern University to implement healthpromoting interventions that address academic stress and enhance students’ psychological wellbeing. The study emphasizes the critical role of well-being initiatives in stress reduction among university populations. Our proposal offers three key contributions: (1) enhancement of existing preventive protocols, (2) systematization of pedagogical knowledge to improve faculty effectiveness, and (3) a hermeneutic approach to understanding stress as a sociocultural phenomenon. Grounded in interpretive paradigms, this work bridges theoretical understanding with practical classroom applications to foster healthier academic environments.
