Abstract

The organizational climate and culture are components of vital importance for the proper functioning and development of health institutions. However, these components have different impacts in all institutions. The dynamics that are generated obey the behavior people demonstrate within the organization in situations of normality or stress. This in turn demonstrates the perceptions of the work styles that health officials have, depending on how they are measured. The objective of the study is to learn about the most used methodologies in the organizational climate and culture of health institutions. This, to be done through a systematic review of the literature, to have a document that serves as a support for future research in the area. To comply with the above, a systematic review of the literature was carried out between the years 2013 and 2019 using articles from other countries across four continents, but mainly Latin America. Among the most relevant results and findings are the use of qualitative, cross-sectional, and descriptive methodologies. In addition, instruments such as the organizational climate scale (EDCO) and the Organizational Climate Inventory of the Pan American Health Organization turn out to be the most widely used instruments in Latin America.
