Abstract

The new forms of growth in small and micro companies cause different conceptions of development. These allow us to differentiate them from other companies that are positioned in the market and whose scale of growth and volume tends to be reflected in greater proportion. The objective of this study is to conduct a analytical discussion of the Theory of Endogenous Development and its application to the microenterprise sector. A review of the main ideas from the aforementioned theory, and how it is applied in microenterprises was used as a method. The results found that the internal strengthening of microenterprises as local growth agents is essential in regions with the greatest capacity of advancement. It is important to mention that as a theoretical analysis, the study presents limitations in terms of quantum verification. However, given the detailed discussion and literary analysis, this research
finds a strong basis for making the microenterprise a determinant for local development. This being a new way of conceiving of the microenterprise.
