Abstract

Nutrition education is a priority of contemporary society because it allows its members to create awareness about the food production chain and environmental deterioration caused by unethical food production practices.
Education with the support of technology allows the sharing of information almost immediately. However if it is accompanied by the technology to optimize food production in an automated greenhouse, cultivation will be possible in small places that require little time for its monitoring and control. In addition, users will be involved in the essential aspects of food and nutrition education.
The objective of this paper is to present the advances in the design of an automated greenhouse prototype with IoT (Internet of Things). This complements teaching and learning activities through the methodology of Project- Based Learning (PBL), where through the practical aspect, concepts are provided and practices are developed that strengthen food and nutrition education.
